i have 3 of these. They are cheaper at Deal Extreme (however shipping is super slow with them).
They work great as a universal remote. My only problem is that, while they do work with A LOT of TV's and different brands, they do get a little wonky. My black ones (I have 2 in black and 1 in white) would not turn on the TV, but once the TV was on it would work pretty well at changing the channel, working the volume, and turning it off. My white one, however, works wonderfully at turning on the tv and all the other controls.
These are super small, though. So if you do get one, I suggest putting it on your keys (it isn't too bulky so it shouldn't add any extra weight) or attaching a lanyard to it.
