This book is about natural beauty treatments and how to use cosmetics more wisely. I am pretty sure everyone has noticed a dramatic change in todays beauty treatments and cosmetics.
Preservatives such as parabens are being used in almost every beauty product (including makeup) and are also known as a cancer culprit.
Emulsifiers such as tridecyl alcohol which is usually combined with paraffin is most likely to be petro-chemically derived (or in other words, contains petroleum).
These are just a few of the many chemically derived substances that can be found in cosmetics, therapeutics, and beauty treatments.
My recipe book does not include this information, but it contains beauty treatments that are 100% natural, paraben-free, microbe free etc.
