Hello Black Friday Subscribers,

We hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and is excited for Halloween tonight! The BFAds staff has eaten most of the candy here, so we're going to have to make a run to the store for the trick-or-treaters tonight, but what we're really looking forward to is the prospect of new ads this week.

Speaking of which, Macy's has just announced that they will also be beginning their Black Friday sale at midnight this year.

But more importantly, they've also released a 15-item sneak-peek of their Black Friday specials! http://smtp.bfads.net/wf/click?c=5C...EVCCB7qdIrTxdMm4=&u=G4UuxhQKSwu8FRVEUFJ6ow/h1

With Toys R Us opening at 10pm on Thanksgiving and both Macy's and Target opening at midnight, it seems like shoppers will have to get in line even earlier this Black Friday. Although, I still think it would be smart if a smaller retailer started their sale at 6am to catch shoppers leaving other stores. Amazon and Target have gotten into the giving spirit early as both are offering Buy 2 Video Games, Get the 3rd Free sales this week!

Amazon is offering the sale on over 800 eligible games,

whereas Target's online offering is rather limited. Target's in-store offering, however, appears to include a wider selection of games, most noticeably, Uncharted 3 (which is absent from Amazon's sale).

These sales are becoming an annual event around this time of year and are a great way to save money this holiday season. We rarely see sales that beat these offers (including Black Friday), so if you're in the market for multiple video games, now might be the best time to buy.

Having received almost 500 entries into our Halloween Pumpkin Carving contest, it made choosing the top entries incredibly difficult. We've chosen our six favorites, but now need your help to award the winner by voting on your favorite carving!

Voting ends today, Monday, October 31 at 11:59pm CST with the winners being announced tomorrow morning. You can see all pumpkin carving entries in the two photo galleries on our Facebook page.

Interested in what toy has the best shot of becoming the must-have item of the year? Check out our recently posted Hot Holiday Toys of 2011 article which covers our picks (in no order) for the top toys of 2011!

We've also posted our Ten Hottest Video Games for the Holiday Season which has something for everyone - family titles and first person shooters, plenty of anticipated sequels, and even a reboot of a groundbreaking franchise!

More guides are on their way, including a heavily requested Tablet Computer article! If you have any suggestions or requests for future articles, please contact us and let us know!

While there are no new ads to talk about, there's still plenty to be excited about this week. In past years, this upcoming weekend has played host to tremendous sales by major retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, among others); sales which have often rivaled, and sometimes beat, Black Friday sales. At the very least, they provide some insight into what to expect from Black Friday. Also, five Black Friday ads (including Sears & Kohl's) were released within the first week of November last year, so there's that too. :)

Thanks for Subscribing and Have a Happy Halloween!
