Is anyone out there having trouble with this company AT&T since they have merged with Bell South? Before this merger I was with Bell South I have had contracts with them in the past and no problem. They told me what features I would have and the amount each month that I would pay. This is supposed to be the whole idea of a contract. Now, they're AT&T they out source to these companies that identify themselves as AT&T, they tell you you will get these features in a contract and then not deliver. [u]OVER CHARGING MONTHLY[u] My bill hasn't been right since March 2008 ($150+ extra). This is a three year contract. When I kept complaining to AT&T they told me these people weren't employees of AT&T. I have since wrote a complaint letter to the Regulatory Dept here. These big companies believe they can tell the consumer what they want and get away with it; these tactics need to be exposed. One thing is I do have the contract and a written quote as to the monthly amount my bill is supposed to be. With any contract everything needs to be in writing and not assumed. In conclusion to this I never want to do business with this company ever again, how can I trust them.

I Agree I hate AT&T. I started with cingular and they switched to AT&T I have had nothing but problems since. My service sucks and for the last 4 months by bills have been outrageous, they give no explanation when you call or anything, I am definetly switching as soon as my contract is up!!!

we have actually been enjoying AT&T with the house merged with the cell phones our bill has never been so low...BUT we have recently had an issue, my husband can get a discount on our phone bill through work, but the bill was in my name. SO i called to switch the name on the bill, had a nice girl no issues until we got out bill, they are charging us like its a new account with over $80 in set up fees!! I did not create a new account only a name change but they see it as a new account so I am PISSED!! the girl on the phone said there would be no charges. now my husband has to take care of it because the bill is now in his name and they won't talk to me!

We have AT&T cell service, and it sucks big time. "More bars in more places than any other network"? MY ASS. AT&T has the worst network ever. My brother can get reception on a freaking Tracphone in places where I can't get anything. LAME. What's the point of having a freaking iPhone if you can't even use it? I'm switching as soon as my contract is up.

Well, I'm almost finished with this. They wanted me to pay for all the upgrades they originally promised, I didn't agree and I told them to cancel my contract. They agreed. (Really how can you trust a company that wants to trap you.) Another company said I could have the same features, keep my same phone #'s, plus cable stations which I didn't have (this is good since the t.v.'s change in the coming year). This of course is definitely all in writing. $60 difference. I noticed something about most of the companies, they read a script off to you (really fast) then give you a standard contract which usually doesn't spell out everything that you talked about over the phone. Well, I've got everything in writing and supporting documents for this new contract. I hope all goes well with this. I sure don't need to swap the devil for the witch.
