View Full Version : This is what I think...

Okay, so I know that this is an old subject, but I just couldn’t resist anymore but to try to fit my own opinion too. *I am NOT trying to start anything here*

When I contact companies, I take my time to write with as much honesty as possible. I do find it pretty rude when I get no answer ( I did NOT say “no for an answer”, I said “NO ANSWER“, okay?) from a company after spending a few minutes of writing because of the following reasons:

1. I have complained a few times to companies to let them about the products I purchased from them before. One time, I was desperate find a product that worked for my own kind type (acne prone), so when I stopped by my local supermarket, I spotted something I thought I might like, READ THE LABELS, and thinking nothing was wrong with it, I brought it home. After a couple of times using it, I noticed that my face started to get some red spots/blotches. I obviously I stopped using the product, and it was left in a corner for quite a long time. I then decided to contact J&J to let them know what happened to me while/after I used one of their products. I never got a response from them. Well, I wasn’t really waiting for an answer, because sometimes I forget things easily, so I just left it at that. And.. I didn’t really feel like repeating myself. Ok so, another time, I was looking for a self-tanning lotion because my skin could get very light in the winter time. I looked around a store, and found something I wanted to try after READING THE LABELS. In the beginning I didn’t realize because I just thought it was a one time, but a few hours after EVERY application, I started getting itchy, and ended up having red bumps all over my body. I am kind of dumb and stubborn, so I was trying to make the product WORK for ME, but it obviously didn’t end up that way, and stopped using the product. I contacted KAO about that, and they quickly responded to my e-mail. The person who worked for CS sounded very concerned, and wanted me to answer a few questions. I did, and then I got another e-mail from them asking me to please take a survey they would like to mail to my house. I accepted. The survey was about 4 pages long, and it didn’t bother me one bit filling it out, because it was pretty easy to write about what actually happened to my OWN body. The envelope they sent me along with the survey, said that there was no postage needed, so all I had to do was drop it off at the post office. Also, they asked me to send them the product I bought, which was no big deal either (they sent me a sticker label that also said "No postage necessary"). After a week, they thanked me in a letter I received, with 2 coupons attached. There is a HUGE difference when a company answers and doesn’t; how much they actually care about the consumers depends on their ANSWER to a complaint/compliment or whatever. They do all sort of testing, right? Why not add a little warning to the labels? Well, That’s what I suggested to BOTH companies, but ONE of those two cared enough to give me a response. I know nobody is perfect, they CAN make a mistake, uh… that is the reason why I contacted them. They should look into that product more, because something is definitely wrong if I get blotches on my face. Whoever has the same skin type as me, will have to go through the same exact thing as I did (hopefully not anymore.. :) ) Well, okay, if others also experienced the same thing as me, not my freaking problem that the company isn’t making any money out of that product they THEMSELVES don't give damn about.

2. Thanks to others in here, I learned that I could request for coupons for new products I would like to try, and for ones I already use. I have done this for a couple of months, and I am loving it. The thing that I ain’t loving so much is when I don’t get a response… Haha, probably whoever is reading this might think I’m trying to start crap, but no, like I said before, it is my opinion. I find it rude for a company to not answer me back when I request for coupons. Yes, I do have a horrible memory, but when I take my time to write things down, I CAN actually remember things. I have a list of coupons I requested, and I cross out the ones that I am not receiving (if denied), and ones that I already have received. I understand it could take some time to give a response back, because I am not the only one having a complaint or compliment, request, question, etc.. Also, it I’m aware that it ISN’T obligatory for them to send out the coupons requested; it is THEIR choice to do so or not. But if you already read the e-mail, I don’t think that it’s THAT hard to say “Sorry, we don’t give out coupons”, “Sorry, we don’t have any at this moment”, “Sorry, but blahblahblah..” etc.. It takes LESS than a minute to click the “reply” button, write yes or no, and then click on the final button, “send”. I’m going to say this again, I FIND IT VERY RUDE for a company to not reply to an e-mail. It’s like, if you ask someone next to you for the time, and they ignore you, would that feel good? I don’t really think so… I would definitely feel like crap. It’s almost the same thing. I also find it a waste of time, waiting, and signing out of my real e-mail address just to sign in to the other one to check if I got a response back from them or not.

3. Okay, with complimenting I had no problems.. If they don’t answer me, who really cares.. I am SOOO lazy, that I, honestly, would not quite feel like saying something back if I were them, though sending a coupon, I would do even with if I didn’t give an answer. I mean, THEN I will obviously remember that I sent an compliment to them.. I really appreciate the companies that have done so for me so far (helped me save so much), and also the ones that ANSWERED me, even if my request has been denied. :h5:

Omg... I guess it' for everyone.. I was also referring to Clean & clear (lotion). Wow.. I knew it wasn't just me, but they ignored my e-mail so.... They won't make anything with that product, and that's TOO bad. I got the face cleansers last week.. I don't remember what happened to my skin when I used one of them... Ummm I hope that they won't ruin my skin again.. :pat:
