Help with Walgreens

How do the deals at Walgreens work? I finally have CVS ECB down and my wife takes care of that. I thought I would run the Walgreens front. I checked their site but couldn't find any information.

well for example this week is buy 2 reach tooth brushes or floss 2 for $6 get $6 back in Register Rewards to us towards a future purchase. Well I have b1g1 free coupons up to $3.99 for the toothbrushes and I can use that and get the brushes for $3 plus tax and still get the $6 RR back for a future purchase, but you can't use the RR from the same product to pay for the same one in another transaction, You can at CVS, but not walgreens.

So say I spent out $15 plus tax on toothbrushes (using the b1g1 free coupons) and I will get $30 in RR back for future purchases. Does that help at all?

oh and they have the easy saver booklet that has walgreens coupons in them that you can combined with manufacturers coupons but you will need a cheap filler item, like something on clearence or a cheap candy, because the register recongizes the number of coupons to the number of items, so you use 2 coupons, you need 2 items, hence the cheap filler item. Oh, and at my walgreens they let you scan the coupon from the easy saver book and you don't have to cut it out, and even though the coupons says a limit on it, mine have always taken off for however many I purchase with a coupon from the book.

Also in the easy saver book there is the Mail In Rebates that you can do for the month, and when you do it online and request a gift card, they give you a 10% bonus. My rebates this month should be $60.00 so I will get a 10% bonus on that since I requested it to go on my rebate card I already have.

I hope this helps, I understand walgreens a bit more than CVS, but I am slowly getting the hang of cvs.

Yes they print out from a machine by the register called a catalina. so it makes the RR and the rebates separate. But don't claim your rebates till towards the end of the month because once you submit them, you can only do it once and they won't allow you to add more. so I save my reciepts and just add them usually a couple days before the month is over.

I have had it happen when I was doing the Robitussin deal a while back that my RR didn't print out right, but the cashier just called over the manager, he looked it over and knew I was owed RR so he put it on a walgreens gift card, and I just used it towards other deals.

I have a quick question. When I bought the Neutra Air Lysol thing from last month's easysaver, I put my receipt in as soon as I bought it. Well, i forgot to submit it! I just checked, and it said it had to be submitted on the 29th. Well, it said it is finalizing, and that my purchase was being reviewed and my rebate should be here in 3 to 4 weeks. Did they automatically submit it for me, since I had already put my receipt in?

They probably did. I know that it will after a certain time. I have also heard some people say that the computer will pick up things that they left off. So, it might get the Neutra Air for you. If not you can call and they will usually add it as a one time courtesy.

The rebates are only good for a certain amount of time. Usually the new one and old one overlap for a Friday and Saturday. For instance, the Nov one ended on 11-22. But the December one started on 11-21. So, you have to make sure that you submit the item you bought for the correct rebate period you got it in.

It might if you didn't check for them to send a check. That happened to my sister. It also happened to me one time. I called them because I wanted the gift card and they changed it to a card. Then they sent the check, too. So I got double money that month. I tried and tried to explain it to them, but they didn't seem to get it. If you get a check you can cash it at Walgreen's.
Also, when it gets through processing they will send you an email telling you how much you are getting and how you're getting it.

Well the rebates I am getting back now are for November, it is the m & m's which I have to call about that because on one of my receipts they are only giving me $5 when it should be $20 and I think the mascara and the $20 thing that was free after rebate. I am not 100% sure what it all is for november. I am actually going to get some of those wipes and see if hubby will use them cuz he has a very low almost bald hair cut. :kekeke:

nope, if you didnt ask for it they wont proces THAT one. you can call though and they might. they did for me last month.:bigthumb:
